The second you walk into Vicki's class you feel comfortable and welcome. You get to know Vicki quite quickly as she is open with sharing not only stories from the field, but also stories from her personal life. As the class progresses she covers all the questions you ever had and helps settle the doubts. Before continuing on to new subjects, she makes sure you are comfortable with what you just learned and to not continue if you still have questions. From a person who took the course 5 years previously and had a 5 year leave, I feel I was 100% more comfortable going out onto the road then when I did in 2000. During the practical part of the course, she leaves you on the road till she is sure that everyone in the class is ready, whether it took just 5 minutes to 20 minutes. I am definately glad that the course takes more time to ensure everyone's safety is looked after!

I recently took the Traffic Control Person course, for the second time in June. My teacher was very helpful and informative in showing us what the job actually entailled, although we were in the classroom it felt more like we were on the road because she made an extra effort to bring real life situatuions to life. She actually made me realize how critical it was that I always be alert and on my best behavior. I never thought all those things could happen on a work site but when I took my first course I never was made aware of the danger to the extent that I was with this instructor. I enjoyed the class a lot and got very involved with it, also I feel Vicky is a very good instructor and should be considered a valuable asset to your company. She shines and has a lot to offer people and she cares, that is what counts. I would gladly recommend her to anyone taking the course. She has a gift of teaching that should not be overlooked.....

Having just completed the TCP training course only one week ago, everything is still pretty vivid. I don't think i would have done as well if Vicki wasn't the instructor. She made me feel really comfortable in class, as well

as out on the road on the second day. She always emphasizes the importance of safety on the job site, which is most critical. If you can't be safe on this job, you're in the wrong industry. If you're out there looking for an interesting, exciting job, take this course. Just make sure vicki is your instructor, you'll learn a lot, but you'll have a blast doing it. Like i said, at the time i'm writing this, it's been one week since i completed the

course... right now, i've already been hired by a company.

I have just finished taking the TCP (Traffic Control Person) course with Vicki G. being the course instructor and am happy to say I passed.

Now having taken the course, I have a better understanding, and am more aware of how important it is that the people that control traffic are trained with, a set guideline that is use by all TCP's province wide. With Vicki teaching everyone in the class to be safety aware and remain in control only helps everyone in making it thru a work site safe.  I tip my hard hat to you Vicki,

This past weekend I just completed the course for the traffic control person
training under the instructions of Vicki Gallinger. Upon the completion of
the course I felt that I had been given enough information and confidence to
seek employment in the field of traffic control. I had never given much
thought to the responsibilities of a TCP but under the instruction and
stores of her personal experiences in the field, Vicki Gallinger has caused
me to have a much higher respect for a Traffic Control Person. Vicki went
over the material of the course until you understood it, her constant
reminder of your responsibility for the safety of the people in your work
area and yourself will not be forgotten.
I feel the course is a valuable teaching aid for every one whether they go
into the field of Traffic Control or not.

After debating on taking the traffic control person course for about a year

I recently decided to take it at roadsmart. But after reading the manuals/
participant guide I didn't know if I was really make the right decision.
There was so many questions. It actually got to the point that I was
actually thinking about not taking the course at all. With a little bit of
encouragement from my family members, I went. The second I walked in the
class room I felt welcome. The instructor Vicki was great she has a
wonderful gift of teaching and making sure everyone is comfortable. The
questions I had, Vicki had most of them answered before I had a chance to
ask her them. As for the doubts of making the right decision, that's gone.
I'm happy that I went and did the course. I highly recommend the roadsmart
TCP course to anyone who is interested in becoming a TCP. As well if you
are interest in this course I highly recommend Vicki as an instructor.

I took the 2 day course to become a certified TCP and was very nervous to start but once I got there and met everyone I was quite pleased. The teaching methods are very straight forward and just to make sure if you don't get all the material it's reviewed in class. I was very pleased on how our instructor Vicki handled the class with a warm welcome and a pleasant fun attitude. When we got on the road we were instructed in a very clear manner. Vicki took control of the situation making sure everything kept to a safe environment which helped a lot with the training of the course. I would recommend everyone to take this course because it teaches you not only how to work as a TCP but good communication skills as well.

Having just finished the TCP training I wanted to take a quick minute to say what an excellent instructor I had. From the moment I walked into the classroom I felt like I had known Vicki Boesterd my entire life.

A good instructor realizes the value of having their students feel comfortable. It makes a huge difference in retaining what you are learning. She is very clear and concise in her instruction.They say that you learn better when you are enjoying the experience and when you are interested in the subject. That is certainly the case with this class. Vicki has found the perfect balance of professionalism and fun learning. You leave the course highly qualified and proud of your personal performance. It's impossible to leave the course uninformed of the importance of health & safety on the job for yourself and your fellow crew. I have every confidence that I will be an outstanding TCP.

My learning experience was great, more than I expected it
would be. I went into class expecting to be a little bored or have my
attention wander, but with Vicki as a teacher that was impossible to do. In no way was I intimidated by her, she made my learning experience a great
one. I had full confidence with myself after successful completion of her
class.

I was rather nervous when I walked into the classroom for my two day course with Vicki B.  I had done some reading in preparation but I also knew that there was still alot of material to cover in such a short time.  Upon entering the classroom, I found a lady that filled up the room with her presence.  She was funny, polite, knowledgeable and you could tell that she loves what she does and it shows.

Her energy was contagious and you can't help but pick it up.  She made sure you understood what we went over, she was patient and seemed to know when you were in trouble without even asking.  If someone needed a little extra time, she took it because she wanted us to feel confident in our newly acquired skills.  She was honest about what will be expected of us, told us about some real situations that occurred and gave us some tips about what we can do to make things easier on ourselves.

If this is something you would like to do, I strongly recommend that you
take this course with Vicki.  She is an excellent instructor and I hope
that I will have the opportunity to work with her on the roads.  Thanks for everything.
